Having been emerged with volcanic activities, Bims (Pumice) is a natural volcanic stone, crystallized with substantive pores and durable against physical and chemical effects. There being approximately 9 million m3 reserves at the middle and east part of Turkey. Bims (Pumice) reserves in Nevsehir is over the World Standarts in relation to its quality. Bims has been abstracted from open mining fields with heavy construction equipments. Having been abstracted from our licenced fields or other open mining fields as the raw material, Bims (Pumice) has been manufactured and used through classification with screening at our factory. Bims (Pumice) used at our factory is between 5 - 18 mm dimensions.

Bims (pomza) history for bulding and construction:

The first usage of Pumice at Construction sector dates back to the Roman Empire. It was used as Puzzolan cement by Roman people. It is known that the dome of Haghia Sophia Museum was made of this element. Furthermore, It was started to manufacture as the Lightweight Building Component in Germany in 1851.For the centuries It has been used in many countries, mainly Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, USA and Japan mostly in order to provide heat and sound insulation due to its excellent insulation characteristics, lightweight structure and resistance to earthquake etc.

Lightweight Building Components made of Bims (Pumice) at present:

In 1984, it was first started to manufacture Lightweight Building Component professionally in Turkey. Later, a few following foundations were builded, and the factory called Isıbims which was founded in 1997 started to manufacture in 1998. Since 2003 as being the leading company of its sector, our company has been operating under the name of BLOKBIMS Co. Inc. with full automatic German design block manufacturing system and with 150.000 pcs/day capacity of two different machines at its 15.000 m2 outdoor, 250.000 m2 indoor places in Nevsehir. While Bims (Pumice) and Bims Concrete have not been well known in our country, through its great efforts to introduce this product to the market, our company has been renown with the label of the product and prevailed to the market since then. Being manufactured at Automatic System with High German Technology, BLOKBIMS special cement is produced conforming to T.S. 3234 and manufactured as Asmolen blocks and wall blocks, 32 types of Lightweight Building Components under the brand name of BLOKBIMS with its stereotypes conforming to T.S. 2823. At all stages of manufacturing quality control is done conforming to ISO 9001-2000 management system. Quality of manufacturing and service have been confirmed by ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management System. Lightweight Building Components made by BLOKBIMS has been mostly preferred products at present.

IN WHICH FIELDS BLOKBIMS IS USED:

Blokbims products are used at all constructions as internal and external wall construction component and also at furnishings as Asmolen construction component.

The Main Characteristics of BLOKBIMS:

    1.) Heat and Sound Insulated Component:

Being used as the raw material along with manufacturing technology Bims(Pumice) provides heat and sound insulation due to its natural characteristics.

    2.) Earthquake-resistant (Substantive):

Manufacturing Bulding Components which used to manufacured by Bims raws are having more powers of endurance than all other bulding components and by high elastic modules are having more powers of endurance against earth quakes.(Elastic factor is 70.000 kgs/cm2 against breakages by earth quakes waves). It s 6 times more elastic than concrete components then there is no breaking and cracking appears which was absorbing very easy and having more powers of endurance against earth quakes.

    3.) Economics:

There must need to apply thin coating or rough casting when it was constructing to the walls by other bulding blocks, Blokbims is more economic by appliying by only one coating on ourdoor wall applications. Our products are more well surfaces and decoratives so then it is also possible to manufacture walls whitout using any coating. Regarding inner walls it is directly covering with plaster of Paris. It can covering less plater of Paris therefor it is well sufaces.

    4.) Fire-resistant:

It is more fire resistance than other bulding components. Melting point is high and when it would be melting that there is no passing any gas which is harmfull against environment and human health. It can minimize to fired demages. (there is no firing, changes on pysical and spapes of it and also no passing any gas while it was heating under 1.100 C as long as 239 minutes.) Firing resistance with DIN 4102 Standarts: It is having more power of endurance against firing.

    5.) Natural:

It is natural raw material cause there is no any compound material inner formulation instead of cement so it is pure natural product.

    6.) Maintainining moisture balance in the atmosphere:

It has more ability to hold high amount water vapour within side, therefor it is not become dampen and humidity. Morever, it has ability to air breathing natural within environment. It has natural and porosity compound therefor it can to afford healthy ambiance which is becoming dampen and any having bad smelling.

    7.) Environment-friendly:

During manufacturing period that it needs to have very low energy. There is only needs to have vibration energy. It is not use any chemical or biologic technics when it was manufacturing. There is no wast materials. During manufacturing process there is no dangerous or no risk factor for worker's health.

    8.) Ligthweigth:

Blokbims is more ligthweigth which is also very special features.( Bims Specific gravity is average 0,75 kgs /dm3, Blokbim's specific gravity is average 0,60 kgs/dm3) so it decreases to total gravitiy weight upon bulding foundation. Total wall weight which made by blokbims is more lightweigth than wall weight of other bulding's blocks or bricks.

Blokbims Bulding Products are manufacturing milimeter sensitive process by high machinery technology. Manufacturing products has very smooth surface and edges therefor wall applications and coating are more less cost to %50.
